Realme 8 Pro: RealmeUI 3.0 with Android 12 – Early Access Applications Open

Realme 8 Pro Software Update: Open Beta

Realme 8 Pro started receiving RealmeUI 3.0 based on Android 12, although this update is for limited users and just for trial purposes. This is not a stable update and will contain bugs. Previously the device had received the November 2021 Security Patch carrying a build number of A.44 as a stable OTA Update.

As per the user report, the update size is around 4.63GB carrying a build number of RMX3081_11_C09 as this is an open beta update this is only used for early testers or beta users limited to a few thousand users. The stable will be released in the coming months.

As per the scheduled roadmap, they are following the early access roadmap, Realme 8 Pro was one of the few selected to get the open beta update on December 2021.

When does the Early Access begin?

The application channel will open on 17th December 2021. The applications will be accepted in batches and only limited seats are available.

What do I need to know before joining the Early Access?

• Please make sure your phone is not rooted.
• To prevent data loss, please backup your personal data before proceeding.
• Some third-party application versions might not be compatible with Android 12 yet, after updating these applications might not be available or crash on your device. Therefore, it is recommended to update all your applications to the latest version available on the Play Store before your update.
• The Early Access versions may have an unpredictable impact on your phone and affect daily use.
• Please ensure that the available phone storage is more than 10 GB. Otherwise, there will be a risk of update failure (To check the phone storage head to Settings > Additional Settings > Storage).
• Due to unpredictable factors such as network communication and strategy adjustment, it is not possible to guarantee that every applicant will receive the update. In case the update is not received, we suggest you patiently wait for the official release.

• Early Access Application
  1. Make sure your Realme 8 Pro has 60%+ battery.
  2. Update your device to the required UI version → RMX3081_11.C.09
  3. Apply for the Early access via the Software Update Application channel: 
  4. (Settings → Software Update → Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner → Trial Version → Apply Now → Submit your details and finish the quiz).

FAQ:

• Q) Why have I not received the Early Access update yet?
  • A) You will receive the update soon after submitting all needed information in the application channel, but keep in mind that we have limited seats to ensure an optimal beta testing program.

• Q) How do I roll back to Android 11?   
  • A) Read the disclaimer below and follow the instructions to roll back:
    • Your personal data will be erased when you roll back. Please back up your data before the operation.
    • You will not be able to get back to the Early Access version once you have rolled back.
    • You need to manually update to the latest Realme UI 2.0 version in case you lost some pre-installed applications.

• Q) When connecting/pairing a Realme Bluetooth headset for the first time, what steps are to be taken?
  • A) After clicking connect, you need to wait about 10~20 seconds. During the waiting period, users are advised not to click connect/cancel multiple times

• Step 1: Download the rollback package onto your phone’s directory.
  • Link → Rollback Package for Realme 8 Pro

• Step 2: Locate and install the rollback package:
  • Open developer mode
  • Settings → About phone → Click on the “Realme UI 3.0 Software Version” banner at the top → Click on the three dots in the top right corner → Local install → Find and tap the rollback package to roll back to the previous version.
