Realme 8 5G Software Update:

Realme has started the phased rollout of the July 2022 Android security patch via OTA for the Realme 8 5G model. The latest software update carries build number RMX3241_11.A.16 which optimizes system performance and also improved system stability.

Realme 8 5G was released on April 28th , 2021 with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

The software update is probably just a minor one and only brings June and July 2022 Security Patch along with as usual the system and stability improvements, but we might see a big major update coming soon to the device with Android 12.

Note: The update will be randomly pushed out to a limited number of users and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days.

Previously the device had received the March 2022 Security Patch, carrying RMX3241_11.A.14 build, the device has bought security, system and desktop (home settings - app drawer). The device has received early access to Android 12 with Realme UI 3.0 the previous month for Open Beta users.
