OnePlus 9 users are in for surprise as the most anticipated major android build, the OxygenOS 12 with Android 12 update is finally rolling to OnePlus 9 devices in India & North America variants of the device, We may soon expect the European variant to receive the update soon as well.

Along with the OnePlus 9; the OnePlus 9 Pro is also getting the same update, the update will soon roll out to OnePlus 9R & OnePlus 9RT soon.

It’s been almost 2 months since the Android 12 was announced, OnePlus was one of the few OEMs who announced the beta program as soon as Google released the stable version and after a few beta updates in their beta program. How long will it get updates?

As this is the first major android upgrade the OnePlus 9 is getting, It still has two more major android build that is Android 13 & Android 14 respectively. Current OS Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 as of December 2021.

The OnePlus 9 will receive three years of major OS updates and four years of Security updates.

Therefore, Android 12 will be the first major OS update on this device and it is also eligible to be on the Android 13 and Android 14 update list as well.
