May 2021 Android 11 : Updates Monthly Roundup

May 2021 really brought a lot of Android 11 updates along with the beta releases and the security patches or updates. To round it up, here is the list of all OEMs which have released any update during May 2021.

Google

Google released the May 2021 Android Security Patches for its Pixel devices in batches during the month of May. The Pixel devices which received the Security updates are listed below with their build version –

Samsung

Samsung Galaxy S series

• Samsung Galaxy S10+ – The T-Mobile Units of this device received a stable Android 11 update in the fires week along with a security patch and a One UI 3.1 update.
• Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite – This device received May 2021 Android 11 Security updates during the second week. Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite update rolled out in Russia.
• Samsung Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra – All these devices received Android 11 Security updates in South Korea during the fourth week of May 2021.
• Samsung Galaxy S10e (Boost Mobile variant) – It received the One UI 3.1 update along with a Security Patch during the third week in India and Japan.

Samsung Galaxy A series

• Samsung Galaxy A42 – Samsung launched the Android 11 stable update for it in the first week of May in multiple countries like Germany, Australia, Portugal, and others.
• Samsung Galaxy A12, A02s – Both thee devices received a major Android 11 update in the second week in Russia along with a May 2021 Security Patch. These devices received updates in the third week in India and other countries.
• Samsung Galaxy A11 – It received the Android 11 stable update with One UI 3.1 skin in Panama during the second week.
• Samsung Galaxy A30 – It received the Android 11 update with One UI 3.1 in India during the third week.
• Samsung Galaxy A51, A21s – Both the devices got the One UI 3.1 update during the first week. Galaxy A51 was given in Brazil and A21s were given in the UK.
• Samsung Galaxy A70, A20s – Galaxy A70 received the One UI 3.1 in New Zealand and Galaxy A20s received it in the UK during the second week.
• Samsung Galaxy A72 5G – This device received May 2021 Android 11 Security updates during the second week of May 2021. The update rolled out in Spain.
• Samsung Galaxy A01 – Galaxy A01 received the One UI 3.1 update along with a Security Patch during the third week in India and Japan.
• Samsung Galaxy A71 5G – It received the One UI 3.1 update in Australia during the second week of May 2021.

Samsung Galaxy M series

• Samsung Galaxy M11 – It received a major Android 11 update in the first week with One UI 3.1 skin in Vietnam. It also received a One UI 3.1 Core Update in India in the second week.
• Samsung Galaxy M02s, F02s – Samsung Galaxy F02s, M02s received major Android 11 updates in the form of One UI 3.1 in India during the second week.
• Samsung Galaxy M01 – It received a major Android 11 update along with the May Security Patch during the second week. It was released in India during the third week of May 2021.
• Samsung Galaxy M21, M30s – Galaxy M21 received the One UI 3.1 update in Germany while M30s received it in Germany and UK during the first week of May 2021.

Samsung Galaxy Tab and other variants

• Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 – The US Variant Galaxy Tab S6 got the One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 in the US during the third week.
• Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 – It received the major Android 11 update with One UI 3.1 in the US during the second week of May.
• Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e – It received the One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11 in India, Netherlands, Belgium during the fourth week.
• Samsung Galaxy W20 5G – It received the One UI 3.1 update based on Android 11 in China during the fourth week of May 2021.

Xiaomi

Xiaomi Redmi series

• Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G – It received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable beta update in China first and then globally during the fourth week of May 2021.
• Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 – It received an Android 11 update for Pilot Testers only during the fourth week.
• Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S – It received the Android 11 stable update for pilot testing only for selected users during the second week globally. The build version was 12.02.0.RJWMIXM.
• Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S – The Android 11 based MIUI 12 out of the box, it received MIUI 12.5 update during the first week of May 2021. The build version was 12.0.2.0.RJLCNXM.
• Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro – It received the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable update during the third week only for Pilot Testers. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RKFMIXM.
• Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro – Xiaomi K20 Pro (Mi 9T Pro) received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable beta in China during the fourth week. The build version was 12.5.4.0.RFKCNXM.
• Xiaomi Redmi 10X 5G, Redmi 10X Pro 5G – Xiaomi released the Android 11 update for the Redmi 10X 5G and Redmi 10X Pro 5G with MIUI 12 almost two weeks apart earlier this May. Then, these two smartphones started receiving the MIUI 12.5 update together during the fourth week of May 2021.
• Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro (Poco F2 Pro) – It received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable update in China during the second week. The build version was 12.5.2.0.RGICNXM.
• Xiaomi Redmi K30i 5G – It also received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable update in China but during the third week. The build version was 12.5.2.0.RGICMXM.
• Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra – The Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra received the Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable beat update during the fourth week of May 2021. The build version was 12.5.3.0.RJNCXM.

Xiaomi Mi series

• Xiaomi Mi 11 – It received the Android 11 MIUI 12.5 stable update during the first week of May 2021 in Indonesia. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RKBIDXM.
• Xiaomi Mi 10S – It received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable beta update in China during the third week. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RGACNXM.
• Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite – The global variant of Mi Note 10 Lite received the MIUI 12.5 beta update based on Android 11 during the fourth week. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RFNMIXM.
• Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Zoom – It also received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable beta update in China during the third week. The build version was 12.5.2.0.RJVCNXM.
• Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro – It received a stable MIUI 12.5 update based on Android 11 during the third week of May 2021. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RJAEUXM.
• Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite, Mi 10i – Both the devices received an Android 11 based stable beta MIUI 12.5 updates during the fourth week along with the May 2021 Security Updates.
• Xiaomi Mi 11X – It received an Android 11 based stable MIUI 12.5 update during the fourth week of May 2021. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RKHINXM.

Poco

• Poco F1 – The Poco F1 received the May 2021 security updates in the form of Bliss ROM including other features during the first week.
• Poco X3 Pro – It received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 stable update in Europe during the fourth week of May 2021. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RJUEUXM.
• Poco F2 Pro – Also known as Redmi K30 Pro, Poco F2 Pro received an Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 during the second week of May 2021.
• Poco F3 – Also known as Redmi 40, the Poco F3 received a stable MIUI 12.5 update based on Android 11 during the fourth week. The build version was 12.5.1.0.RKHINXM.

Realme

Realme X series

• Realme X7 – The Realme X7 users got early access to the Android 11 beta program during the first week of May 2021, then it got the second update in the month with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 of 3.42 GB in size.
• Realme X50, X50m – The users of these devices in China got entry in the Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 Public Beta program during the first week.
• Realme X2 Pro – It received the Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 stable update officially during the third week of May 2021.
• Realme X3, X3 SuperZoom – These devices received Realme UI 2.0 stable Android 11 update officially during the fourth week of May 2021. The build version was RMX2081PU_11.C.06.

Other Realme variants

• Realme C12, C15 – These devices received the early access program for Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 during the second week of May 2021. It was for selected users only.
• Realme 6i – Realme 6i received the Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 beta update during the second week of May 2021. The build version was RMX2001_11_C.05.
• Realme 7i – It received the Realme UI 2.0 stable Android 11 update officially during the third week of May 2021. The build version was RMX2103_11_C.05.
• Realme Narzo 10 – It received the Realme UI 2.0 beta update based on Android 11 during the third week. Its build version was RMX2040_11_C.03.
• Realme 6 – It received a small beta update version C.06 of a size of 23.38MB during the third week and another beta update based on Android 11 of a size 89.58MB during the fourth week of May 2021. Its version was C.09.
• Realme 7 Pro – It received a Realme UI 2.0 stable Android 11 update during the third week of May 2021. The build version was RMX2170_11_C.20.

Oppo

Oppo A series

• Oppo A9 2020 – The Oppo A9 2020 variant received the Android 11 based official ColorOS 11 update globally during the third week of May 2021.
• Oppo A73 5G – It received the official ColorOS 11 update based on Android 11 in Australia, UAE, Saudi Arabia during the fourth week.
• Oppo A9/A9X, A11/A11X – These variants received the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 update in China during the fourth week of May 2021.
• Oppo A72 – The Oppo A72 received the Android 11 based ColorOS update in France during the second week of May 2021.

Oppo Reno and other variants

• Oppo Reno Z – The Oppo Reno Z received the ColorOS 11 stable update based on Android 11 in Saudi Arabia, UAE during the second week of May 2021. The build version was C.35.
• Oppo Reno4 Pro 5G – It received the official ColorOS 11 update based on Android 11 in Portugal during the third week.
• Oppo Reno2 – It received the ColorOS 11 update based on Android 11 in Germany, Spain during the fourth week of May 2021.
• Oppo Find X2 Pro – It received the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 in Malaysia during the second week.
• Oppo F11 Pro – The Oppo F11 Pro received the ColorOS 11.1 update based on Android 11 in Pakistan, Cambodia during the third week of May 2021. The update rolled out in Malaysia during the fourth week.

Motorola

• Motorola Moto G Fast – It received the stable Android 11 update during the first week of May 2021. The build version was RPJ31.Q1-53-12.
• Motorola Edge – It received the Android 11 stable update in UK, Italy during the first week. It came with a build version of RPDS31.Q4U-39-26-4-2.
• Motorola MotoRazor 5G – It received the Android 11 stable update in Australia, Malaysia during the first week. It came with a build version of RPSS31.Q1-40-17-12-4.
• Motorola Moto G Power – It received the Android 11 stable update in the US during the first week. It came with a build version of RPM31.Q1-54-13.
• Motorola Moto G8 Power – It also received the Android 11 stable update during the first week. The update was rolled out in Sweden. It came along with a Security patch as well.
• Motorola G9 – It received the stable Android 11 update during the second week of May 2021 in India. It came along with a May 2021 Android Security patch.
• Motorola Moto G9 Play – The Moto G9 Play received the Android 11 update in Brazil as a part of the soak test during the first week.
• Motorola One Hyper – It received the stable Android 11 update in Chile during the third week of May 2021. The build version was RPF31.Q1-21-20.
• Motorola One Action – The Motorola One Action received the stable Android 11 update during the third week of May 2021 in Brazil according to a Senior Motorola Agent.

OnePlus

• OnePlus 6, 6T – Both the devices received an OxygenOS 10.3.11 along with the May Security update in the third week of May 2021.
• OnePlus Nord – The OnePlus Nord received the OxygenOS 11.1.1.3 update along with the Security patches in India during the fourth week.
• OnePlus Nord N10 5G, Nord 100 – Both the devices received the Android Security patch for May 2021 globally. The build number for OnePlus Nord N10 5G was OxygenOS 10.5.14 and OxygenOS 10.5.8 for Nord 100.
• OnePlus 7T Pro – It received the stable OxygenOS Android 11 update at the end of the first week of May 2021. The build number was OxygenOS 11.0.1.2.HD61CB.
• One Plus 7, 7 Pro, 7T – All these devices received the May Android Security patches during the fourth week with OxygenOS 11.0.1.1.
• OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, 8T – The OnePlus 8, 8 Pro received the OxygenOS 11.0.6.6 and the OnePlus 8T received the OxygenOS 11.0.8.13 along with the May 2021 Android Security patches.
• OnePlus 9, 9R, 9 Pro – The OnePlus 9, 9 Pro received the OxygenOS 11.2.5.5 during the first week and the OnePlus 9R received the OxygenOS 11.2.1.2 during the third week of May 2021. All three devices received May 2021 Android Security patches along with the updates. The OnePlus 9, 9 Pro further received an OxygenOS 11.2.6.6 update at the end of the month in India.

Vivo

• Vivo Y50 – The Vivo Y50 received an Android 11 update with FunTouch OS 11 under the Greyscale Testing during the first week of May 2021. It is available to a limited number of users at that time.
• Vivo Y17 – The Vivo Y17 also received an Android 11 update under the Greyscale Testing during the fourth week of May 2021.

Sony

• Sony Xperia 5 – The Sony Xperia 5 received a major Android 11 update for the carrier-locked Xperia 5 units in Japan during the first week of May 2021.
• Sony Xperia 1 Dual, Xperia 5 Dual – Both the devices received the major Android 11 updates in Hong Kong during the first week.
• Sony Xperia Pro 5G – It received the major Android 11 update in the US. The update was rolled out during the fourth week of May 2021.

These were the devices that received Android 11 based major or stable updates, security patches, beta updates during the month of May 2021. There were of course some minor or even major issues after the update installation in some particular devices, but that’s a rant for another day.
