Good news for LG fans!! LG V60 ThinQ is finally getting the Android 12 update in the US. Though LG has quit the smartphone market, its Korean company is still rolling out updates for some selected models such as Velvet and has already started receiving updates.

The company is planning to update some of its models to Android 12 and even Android 13. LG started rolling out the Android 12 update in March 2022 in South Korea. Software update competition is really spicing up things in the smartphone market. Is LG making its way back to the smartphone world?

LG V60 ThinQ was released in March 2020, with Android 10 out-of-the-box.

According to the recent reports, T-Mobile customers in the United States can access the Android 12 update. The update also brings the March 2022 security patch level. Though it’s a little late, the company is providing software updates for one of its ‘flagship’ models, so worth the wait. LG V60 ThinQ is the company’s last flagship model which was able to compete in the market due to its cheap price tag and impressive features.

The new update is a staged rollout and it will take some time to reach all the V60 users to ensure no critical bugs are found. So wait patiently for your update.

How long will it get updates?

The LG V60 ThinQ was released with an Android 10 out-of-the-box in March 2020. Therefore, the Android 11 was its first major OS update.

The company released the Android 12 update on 23rd April 2022 in the US for T-Mobile customers. LG has promised one more OS update for the device so we can maybe expect the arrival of Android 13 on the device in 2023.
