Funtouch OS 11 Beta Update Roadmap for Vivo devices officially announced yes.

Funtouch OS 11 with android 11 build has made its way its lot similar to origin OS, Google officially launched android 11, to it’s pixel lineup of smartphone on september right after that, Vivo was one of the only smartphone manufacturers who officially bundled its new devices Vivo V20 and Vivo V20 Pro out of the box with android 11.

As per the report vivo will roll-out the beta version on batch-by-batch basis, and the rollout schedule is as follows:

December 2020

Vivo Devices expected to get android 11

Funtouch OS 11 Beta Update Roadmap for Vivo devices officially announced but there’s originOS which is similar to funtouch OS and other vivo devices use it.

Vivo is known for it’s crazy selfie camera and innovations, & it’s one the few manufacturer’s who is bundling it’s new devices with android 11 out-of-the-box. Though they are very slow in-terms of ota updates, they will release update based on FuntouchOS 11 or OriginOS based on android 11.

We may see these updates sooner or later as the roadmap mentioned is just testing purposes and actually doesn’t have a meaning full sentiment to the end users as the timelines mentioned won’t provide the stable update but just beta version for users who have enrolled to their program, technically not recommended if your common user and has only this as your primary device.

When will device get stable update?

So when will the stable update arrive, Vivo is one few OEMs who focuses on their latest offerings and don’t care about its old sold devices though they have improved quite a bit from the past, but still their main audience is targeted towards offline and I have to say they spend huge amounts in marketing and Celebrity PR’s and aren’t that keen on providing a good software support.

Their follow ups on twitter aren’t very reassuring as they only mention, when you get update you will get notification on your device which is very lame, as users ask as to when will it come and their reply is same system generated messages like a bot and nothing else. All I can say is patience is the key for these updates to arrive.

Conclusion:

There isn’t any official confirmation from the company for the timeline of updates, only time will tell. And it’s only beta version of the update the company has listed, users may have to wait for the official OTA update to arrive, but some people have already received OTA update for iQOO devices.
