Breaking News: Oneplus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 12 Open Beta, for Oneplus Nord CE 2 which brings the Android 12 software upgrade along with a new user interface and better privacy controls. This update is accessible for users who have updated their device to A.13 Build.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 was released on 17th February 2022 with Android 11 out of the box.

1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
2. Copy the ROM upgrade package to the phone storage.
3. Power off the phone -> Pressing the Power button and Volume Down button for 10 seconds at the same time -> Choose a language, then enter the Recovery mode -> Click on the corresponding installation package -> upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
5. Update successful.

OBT to MP rollback guide—via Local OTA update
Note: This upgrade method might erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first.

Note: Before installing the rollback package, you will need to rename the package by deleting “_Rollback”.

1. Download the latest ROM rollback zip package from the specified server.
2. Copy the ROM rollback package to the phone storage and rename the package by deleting “_Rollback”.
3. Go to Settings -> About device -> Version -> Click Build number 7 times and enter the password, now you are in the developer mode.
4. Go back Settings -> About device -> Up to date -> Click the top right button -> Local install -> Click on the corresponding rollback package -> Extract -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
5. After the rollback is complete, click Restart.
6. Rollback successful.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 has been released with Android 11 out of the box. So, the upcoming Android 12 update will be its first major OS update. It is also eligible to be on the Android 13 update list as well. And it may probably be the last major OS update on the device.

OnePlus Nord 2 Software Update:

Oneplus Nord 2 receives the C.05 Build with OxygenOS 12.1 with Android 12 update which carries DN2101_11.C.05 build with the security patch i.e, May 2022 Android Security Patch along with a whole lot of changes and fixes in the System, Camera, Battery and Performance of the device.

OnePlus Nord 2 was released in July 2021 with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

This is confusion among the community moderators & individual users, as the device had reportedly received an official version of the beta, OnePlus Nord 2: OxygenOS 12.1 with Android 12 – Open Beta 2 It was in fact an Open Beta 2 but released for the stable version of the user running Android 11.

We ourselves are using this Device with C.04 Build, and so far didn't get the OTA of C.05 Build after checking multiple times, along with this issue they have released a rollback to Android 11 with the “oplus_ota_downgrade.zip” package but it only works if you've C.05 installed. Kind of disappointing, to say the least.

On the other hand, the devices running Android 11, are getting June 2022 Security Patch which tells us something has gone wrong with the software update of Android 12 and they are trying to cover up without a proper clarification among the users.

OnePlus N200 Software Update:

OnePlus has started rolling out the stable release of the new OxygenOS 12 update for the OnePlus Nord N200 model. The latest software update comes with the build number DE2117_11_C.15 for the North American region which brings Android 12 & May 2022 Security Patch. Oneplus Nord N200 5G was released on June 25th, 2021 with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

OnePlus Nord 2 Software Update:

Oneplus Nord 2 receives the OxygenOS 12.1 with Android 12 - Open Beta 2 update which carries DN2101_11.C.04 build along with the latest security patch i.e, May 2022 Android Security Patch along with a whole lot of changes and fixes in the System, Camera, Battery and Performance of the device.

But Also, Oneplus started a systematic failure in a software update for OnePlus Nord 2, the new update is possibly the Open Beta 2 for OxygenOS 12 for users who were already enrolled in Beta Program. But this time the People who were running stable OxygenOS 11 with A.20, April 2022 Security Patch had got the C.04 Build with OxygenOS 12.1 Beta Build.

The update was considerably large with a file size of 4.89GB, the existing OnePlus Nord 2 users running Open Beta 1 with OxygenOS 12 had got the same update for ~1.5 GB or so, a bit prior to those who got the big package.

Although the beta build is safe from any Bugs, Our device which was running on OxygenOS 11 had a ton of bugs, which were resolved in this Beta Build of OxygenOS 12.1 in which case the update is almost as stable as it can get.

Though we might experience a few hiccups down the line which we are not sure of, most people reported this update to be a lot more stable and smooth than the previous builds of Oneplus and it is kind of refreshing, to say the least.

When we first checked after installing the device had mentioned this as an official version, like a stable build of the update, but later after optimizing it had changed to the beta version. As per the changelog, it had fixed these issues, the update changelog was a bit different that About the version shown in the beta build.

Surprisingly the update changelog, which showed the software update available never mentioned the new OygenOS 12 or Android 12, nor did it show the build before installing. Only after installing the update, it has mentioned the DN2101_11.C.04 build, which was Open Beta 2.

As far as we know, We are using this version for the past 3 days and were impressed with the performance and smoothness it offers, kind of refreshing, to say the least.

Oneplus Nord Software Update:

OnePlus has started rolling out the stable update, based on Android 12, for OnePlus Nord users on the 13th of May 2022. The new update which comes with the OxygenOS 12 has the firmware version AC2001_11.F.11. The company has been working on this software update for a while now and it is finally here for the users of the OnePlus Nord. This update carries approx 4GB File size which also April 2022 Security Patch.

OnePlus Nord was released on 4th August, 2020, with an Android 10 out-of-the-box.

This update fixes the issue of abnormal Touch sounds, abnormal boot animation, and occasional issues that are unable to start “OK Google” with voice. It also updated to new security which brings April 2022 security patch.

This build was first rolled out to OBT users and is now rolling out to stable branch users. The build for EU users requires additional validation steps, but it will be released as soon as possible.

So, OnePlus Nord users had been enrolled on Open Beta a few months ago. Since then, they have received 2-3 Open Beta. You can check out the complete changelog in the below links.

OnePlus Nord 2 Software Update:

How long will it get updates?

The OnePlus Nord 2 has received one major OS update with Android 11. The Open Beta program has been released by the company and the stable version will be released later in 2022. It is expected to come by June or July but it is just an expectation.

OnePlus will give two years of major OS updates and three years of Security updates.

Android 13 will probably be the last major OS update on the device.

OnePlus Nord Software Update:

OnePlus has started rolling out the Open Beta, based on Android 12, for OnePlus Nord users. Users can participate in their Open Beta program and all the participants should update Open Beta to the latest version to meet the latest upcoming build.

The build number for Indian OnePlus Nord users is AC2001_11.F.10​ and with the latest build number, comes the new features which we're expecting to be stabled in one or two months maximum. But again, this is just a prediction.

OnePlus Nord was released on 4th August, 2020, with an Android 10 out-of-the-box.

Please keep in mind that this is a beta version of the program. These builds do not have the same level of stability as the official OTAs. There can be some risks associated with the installation of the beta version of the program.

Known Issues

1. The screen will be still on when calls come in after turning on the Do Not Disturb and setting calls and messages to be undisturbed.
2. The Find in page of Chrome will be triggered when using alert slider(Ring to Slient) after enabling Chrome.
3. The app can not be displayed occasionally after entering its full name when searching local apps.

OnePlus 9R Software Update:

OnePlus has started the incremental rollout of a new OxygenOS 12 - C.15 build for the OnePlus 9R model, the device received the Android 12 update finally last month, and this update tries to fix a few bugs & issues for the same.

The new update optimizes the phone's charging speed in some scenarios. The update also fixed some previously known issues to make the system stable and smoother. This OTA will be incremental and will reach only a small percentage of users, but very soon, they will be going for a broader rollout of the update.

OnePlus 9R was released on 23rd March 2021 with Android 11 out-of-the-box., upgradeable to Android 12

On March 19, 2022: Oneplus finally released the much-awaited Android 12 update for Oneplus 9R, in which the bigger brother the 9 & 9 Pro had received much earlier than 9R, even though they belong to the same series of the lineup, but the 9R is almost equivalent to predecessor the Oneplus 8 Series as they have received the update same as 9R.

OnePlus 8T Software Update:

OnePlus has started the incremental rollout of a new OxygenOS 12 - C.15 build for the OnePlus 8T model. This OTA will be incremental and will reach only a small percentage of users, but very soon, they will be going for a broader rollout of the update.

The new update optimizes the phone's charging speed in some scenarios. The update also fixed some previously known issues to make the system stable and smoother. This update is currently being rolled out only for Indian users, but soon they will be rolling out the update for other regions too.

OnePlus 8T was released on 16th October 2020 with Android 10 out-of-the-box, and upgradable to Android 12, OxygenOS 12 (as of 2022)
